These terms and conditions set out the basis on which Bob Pest Control provides pest control services to you. By accepting a quote or booking a service with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and get in touch if anything is unclear before you book.
1. About These Terms
In these terms, the words "we", "us" and "our" refer to Bob Pest Control (ABN [INSERT ABN]), and "you" refers to the customer who books or receives our services. These terms apply to all quotes, bookings and treatments unless we agree something different with you in writing.
2. Quotes and Bookings
Quotes are free and provided with no obligation. A quote is based on the information you give us and, where relevant, what we observe at the property. It remains valid for [INSERT NUMBER] days unless we tell you otherwise. If the situation on the day differs from what was described, for example a larger property or a heavier infestation, we will explain this and confirm any change in price with you before carrying out extra work.
3. Service Terms
We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, using licensed methods and products registered for the purpose. Pest control deals with living creatures and existing building conditions, so while we aim for a complete result, some outcomes depend on factors outside our control. These can include the level of hygiene at the property, structural issues, neighbouring properties, and ongoing access points that allow pests to return. We will always advise you of anything we notice that may affect the result.
4. Your Responsibilities
To help us do the job safely and well, you agree to:
- Give us safe and reasonable access to the areas that need treatment
- Carry out any preparation we ask for before the visit, such as clearing benches or securing pets
- Tell us about known hazards at the property, including any asbestos, before work begins
- Follow the aftercare advice we provide so the treatment can work as intended
- Provide accurate information about the pest problem and the property
5. Payment Terms
Unless we have agreed otherwise, payment is due on completion of the service. We accept the payment methods advised at the time of booking, which generally include card and bank transfer. For approved commercial accounts we may issue an invoice with agreed payment terms. If an account is not paid by the due date, we may charge reasonable costs of recovery as permitted by law.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least [INSERT NUMBER] hours before your booked time so we can offer the slot to someone else. If we arrive as booked and cannot gain access, or a booking is cancelled at short notice, we may charge a reasonable call-out or cancellation fee, which we will always tell you about in advance.
7. Warranty Terms
Most treatments come with a warranty, and the period depends on the type of service. If a treated pest returns within the warranty period, we will return and re-treat at no extra cost. The warranty applies only to the specific pest treated, at the same property, and assumes you have followed our aftercare advice and allowed any recommended follow up visits. 8. Liability
We carry public liability insurance and take care on every job. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms removes or limits those rights. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our liability for any service is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, or for conditions that were hidden and could not reasonably have been found during the work.
9. Privacy
Any personal information we collect from you is handled in line with our privacy policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any dispute relating to our services will be dealt with under the laws that apply in New South Wales.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on this page at the time you accept your quote or book your service. We recommend reading the current terms before each new booking.
